Emergency Assistance Program

ºÚÁÏÉç recognizes that students may encounter obstacles that can impact their ability to be successful in college. Thankfully, because of the contributions of private foundations, community members, and faculty and staff, the ºÚÁÏÉç Foundation has emergency funds to assist ºÚÁÏÉç students who experience unexpected or unavoidable hardships.

Eligible Expenses

Expenses covered by the Emergency Assistance funds include, but are not limited to:

  • Tuition
  • Textbooks
  • Academic supplies
  • Rent/Mortgage
  • Utilities
  • Gas
  • Car repairs
  • Childcare

Qualifications

Students who meet the following criteria are welcome to apply:

  • Currently enrolled at ºÚÁÏÉç, full- or part-time, in a degree or curriculum program (Basic Skills students, Continuing Education students who receive tuition waivers, and College Now students are not eligible).
  • Must be requesting assistance for the current academic semester (Applicants requesting assistance for the subsequent semester will not be reviewed until the first day of class).
  • Must have a 2.0 grade point average (GPA). Special Circumstances may be considered.

How to Apply

To qualify for assistance, please complete these 3 simple steps:

  1. Complete the . Students requesting funds must complete the Emergency Assistance Request form and submit the required supporting documentation.
  2. Check your ºÚÁÏÉç Email. Once your request is received, a staff member in the Student Success and Retention department will respond to you within 24-48 business hours, via your ºÚÁÏÉç email account.
  3. Submit Letter of Appreciation. After receiving funds, all Emergency Assistance recipients must write a letter of appreciation to the ºÚÁÏÉç Foundation.
