A Vital and Active Industry
The large textile manufacturing presence in 黑料社 and Lincoln counties provides many local opportunities for skilled workers. The textile industry is one of the largest sectors in the U.S. economy, so the outlook for employment in textiles is strong nationwide. 黑料社 has many local textile partners actively seeking qualified graduates to fill open positions.
Cutting Edge Technology at the TTC
The Textile Technology Center on 黑料社鈥檚 Kimbrell Campus is a partner in the Manufacturing & Textile Innovation Network. This center, along with a new Fiber Innovation Center that is coming soon to the Kimbrell campus, will allow students to get hands-on experience with the latest technology and equipment used in research and development, testing, and production processes for the textile industry.
Transfer to NC State
Students who graduate with an Associate of Applied Science in Textiles Technology and meet eligibility requirements would be able to seamlessly transfer into the at the Wilson College of Textiles at NC State as part of our 2+2 articulation agreement. Learn more about the as part of this agreement.

Associate of Applied Science
This degree offers four concentrations and can be completed as a full-time or part-time student. All Textiles classes are taught on the Kimbrell campus where the Textile Technology Center and Fiber Innovation Center are located.
Certificates
Students also have the option of starting with a four-class certificate program. These certificates can be applied toward the associate programs if you wish to continue on.
